1948 f-1 under bed gas tank?

Hi, I've been looking for a tank to go under the bed like I've seen some 53's have. On my 48 there are two braces neer the end. One is a support for the leaf spring hanger the other looks to be for bed wood. Is there a good sound solution to putting a gas tank in this area that is safe? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Say kelpbed you might want to try the 48-60 forum those guys can probably really help you. An Administrator will probably move you anyway. Most of the aftermarket gas tanks mount up against the bottom of the frame behind the rear axle from flanges welded to the side of the tank. Go to the Classic Performance Products web site, CPP, They have fuel tanks for a 48 and instructions there to show how they mount
