I am getting ready to fab-up my newly acquired flatbed and noticed there are two brackets riveted to my frame where the original stepside bed front rail were connected.
What attaches to these brackets? Or, are they not on the flatbeds? Or are they just not used and just sit there?
You should post some pictures of the part you're referring to. The F-2 bed I got for Glockem had "L" brackets in the front to hold the flatbed to the frame. I have pictures of it but I have them on my shop computer. Maybe if Tanner reads this he can post pictures of them.

It is an L shaped bracket that is on my frame. I will try and get a picture tomorrow. Is there suppose to be a second set of L brackets that attach to the wood beam?
If I remember correctly there were 2 "L" brackets on each side. One side of the top "L" was bolted to the wood beam and the side of the bottom "L" was bolted to the frame and then the horizontal parts of the "L" bracket were bolted together.
I have the brackets on the right of your picture. They are bolted to the frame right behind the cab. There was a set on the horizontal timbers that support the bed frame to the truck frame. The bracket or mounting point that I question, is the one towards the rear of the frame. It kind of looks like the bracket in the left of your picture, and I am not sure how that bolts up to the flatbed..
