yah, I think that new users go back and read old topics and don't realize just how old they are, so they post to them.
I agree with you AX, but it shows that there some interesting things in the past otherwise they wouldn't be revived. I rememeber when I first arrived to this site , shortly after I purchased my computer I didn't have the foggyest idea how to navigate. If a new user knew how to start a new thread asking what he/she wanted to know and posting the link to the old thread I'm sure they'd do it. But I have to admit that I've been caught reading and probably posting on threads that were started a few years earlier and didn't realize it until one of you veterans come along and says that this is an old thread that many have posted to as well but only read the last few posts. Good thing we're not using cam recorders so no one sees how red in the face you get,lol

No harm in reviving an old thread. Not much different from the asking of similar questions over and over when new enthusiasts come on board. It can get a discussion going without rehashing previous discussions, see if new info is available and/or get updates on previous posters progress that may otherwise not get posted.

I don't mind it either...similar problems, different day.
I've done it - then realized I'm the one that started it originally.
Before there was this Forum there was a list-post thingie - I've done web searches and pulled some of those up.
Some of the Old Farts that posted then are still on here now.
I could never figure out how it worked so I didn't join.
Besides that I didn't have a puter at home only a 80-86 at work running Hole_In_The_Wall 0.5.
