I've seen quite a few like that! They arent all they are cracked (pun not intended) up to be, with the "right" tuning.

Wish I could give credit for this pic but forgot where I go it. Sorry to whoever.

Edit : Nice "pun" Kris. It cracked me up.

Damn, I was confused (it's been happening more often lately, with every advacing minute), you already know it was forged.

So is he *asking* if it's a forged rod or telling us & showing the result?? I guess I'm confused here too. Look at the main caps and let us know if you have bolt heads or nuts there like the pic above...

This is what my last PMR engine looked like when it blew. They usually don't leave much behind as far as the rod goes.

You're probably right. Look at the piece of rod hanging down from the piston in the first post. Looks an awful lot like that piece laying there in your pic....

That is defanitely a forged rod. I know the difference, ive held the two enough and i can tell that a PMR has a taper from the beam up to the wristpin bore, and the forged is more curved like in the picture. I'll go dig up a PMR pic..

Doodie, BTW i got this off the road

Good view here.. you can see the side of the beam gradually tapers up to the pin bore, the forged is narrower in this area..
