If your local dealer tell your that the part you are looking for for your older ford has been discontinued, get the part number and give these guys a call.
You CAN ask your local Ford dealer parts man to run the parts # on the national locator right there in front of him. MOST will even give you the phone # of the dealer that still has it (or not) in stock, and the last price that was listed for said part so you can bargain the price (poss) down. You will be surprized sometimes what is still out there and where it is at!! I think the topic of this post is an interesting one with the changing markets of these OBS Ford parts.
I sent an email to that green sales company earlier this morning, to see if they know of an EGR line tube for my 1996 F250 4x4 with 5.8 and no California emissions, we'll see what happens. I also sent an email to Henry's Parts Depot out of curiosity. Has anyone by chance had success with this NOS dealer that is in San Jose, CA? Thanks to rla2005, I am including a link below for another possible resource, Pollution Control Industries.
You brought back a thread from 2009 so who knows what, if anything, is still sitting on a shelf. I don’t know if NumberDummy is still around here but he could look up part numbers. In some of his posts he would list the dealers that had that part in their inventory and contact information.
