" REPO -- SHOP MANUAL ? " 47 1/2 ton
I have seen for sale a "1942 - 1948 Ford Mercury Shop Manual - approx 315 pages " + GREEN & YELLOW IN COLOR +
It is a reproduction factory service manual ------ I was wondering how well it covers trucks ----- SPECIFICALLY for my 1947 Ford 1/2 ton ?
eg. Body / Drive Train / etc , for things specific to the truck !!

John, the manual you are referring to does covers the truck very well. The engines were the same as the cars, so no worries there. There is a section for these trucks, including wiring diagrams for the trucks, with either 6 cylinder or 8 cyldiner. The body is covered as well as all the mechanicals. I have had a copy of one of these manuals for a very long time, so long the binding fell apart so I 3 hole punched the pages and put them into a heavy duty 3 ring binder. It has come in handy many times. You cannot go wrong with the book, it was the book the shops used when our trucks were new.
