putting a 460 in my 69 ford f100

was wondering what i would need to replace my 360 with a 460. found motor mounts at trans dept was wondering if thay made headers for this swap or would i have to make my own

any advise would be great thanks

You bet they do. If I am correct Ford even put 460s in f-100s stock, just very few. Summitracing.com would be the best place to look on the computer.

Mounts, oil pan, and exhaust manifolds seem to be where the issues lie....

Welcome to ( FTE )!

You will find the frame stands, and oil pan( Truck ), under the hood of a dentside, they were put there by the factory! Also order you Headers for a 460 dentside the frames on the
65--79 are the same width in the front end F-100 2wd !

Check out the link below, Its a member that had a company make him some sets of 460
Chassis exit headers and they turned out real COOL! Hope this may help.

You might try L&L products they have been doing this stuff for years and have the pieces to make it less painfull than doing it yourself. Tom

The first year 460's were factory installed in F100/350's was 1973.

As Original: 1973/79 F100/350 460 front engine supports, brackets & rubber insulators.

1) D3TZ6028A .. Right Front Support (aka tower, perch).

1) D3TZ6029A .. Left Front Support

1) D3TZ6030A .. Right Front Bracket (fits between the insulator and the block).

1) D3TZ6031A .. Left Front Bracket

2) D3TZ6038A .. Right & Left Rubber Insulators
