Factory Remote Start/Alarm Problems

I have the Ford Security system with Remote Start on my 2006 Ranger FX4 Level II and it has started to act up lately. It will honk constantly after locking and then set off the alarm. Also, when I try to use the remote starter it tries to start and then cuts out or it just sets the alarm off. The problems come and go and are starting to drive me nuts. Anybody have similar problems? Thanks!

This sounds like you are loosing power. Bad connection or bad battery. If I disconnect the battery on mine when I reconnect it it goes nuts for a few mins.
