Long story short, Big ditches, fast speeds, bent axel tube(assembly).
I need a new rear axle assembly cause nobody will sell just one side. The problem is that I can't find one within 300 miles that doesn't have the same tag.
I went to a junk yard today and found one close but not exact. Everthing appears to be the same except the new one has front and rear shock mount brackets and the brake lines might be a bit off.
My tag is S862B the one I found is S862F.
Will the F work in my truck?
Oh ya where should I look for a front leaf spring hanger?
Well I got everything put back together and it went pretty smooth. UNTIL, I went to put the tires back on and the lugs weren't the same size. I would have just waited till the next day and bought new nuts, but I had a trip to make the next morning. To make it worse the lugs off the old axle wouldn't go in the new rotor. So we drained the diffy and put the old axles back in with correct lugs. It was a long ways to go back and do again just cause off one little problem. But thank you for the help.
