2001 Stereo fit in a 2000?

Does anyone know if the 6 disk in dash cd changer, that is available in the new 2001 Superduty trucks, interchangeable with the factory cd/tape player in the 2000 model trucks? They appear to physically be the same size, I just don't know if the wiring was changed.
