Painted handles and Jimmi-jammers

BEFORE

AFTER

Gallery 2005 Ford Econoline 4x2 - Painted Handle

I put Jimmi-Jammers on each door since I was in there. Install was very easy. I recommend them even if your truck has the anti-pry thingy from the factory.

I also painted the running boards with Krylon Fusion Satin Black paint. I'll get some better pics this afternoon.

Looks good!!! I like how you painted the keypad bezel, thats something I've been wanting to do. What I still want to do is get the solid aluminum door handles and paint them to match, in addition to the Jimmi Jammers.

I'd like to get these door handles from this company.

Oh, BTW, your gallery has your Excursion as an Econoline, just thought I'd point that out.

Monsta, I like the painted handles also. Good looking X you got there. One question, are the badges on the front of your fenders oem? Thinking about putting some on mine.

Thanks, Marty

Those are OEM badges from the 05+ Super Duty series.

Those aluminum handles are nice! Pricey but very nice. It's not the handles that are the problem with break in though. It's the ability to pry underneath them to pop the lock's rod. The Jimmi-Jammers certainly look like they'll help prevent that.

When the Excursion got broken into late last year, the scumbags did not pry underneath the door handles like you describe. In my case the doorhandles were the problem, they cracked it, it was broken in half. That is why I would use both the aluminum door handles along with of the Jimmi Jammers and more than likely a good alarm system.

WOW! No kidding! I thought the preferred method was prying. Had no idea folks will break them off as well.

WOW Ken, that looks great! Are you still thinking about painting the mirrors too?
