Stock Exhaust Manifolds

Hey Guys I have a 78 Bronco I just built a mild 400 for. I bought some headers from Summit Racing and they sit way to low for me. I am thinking of porting out my stock exhaust manifolds and using them. I figure I will keep some of my torque and have descent flow. What do ya'll think? Should I buy some other mfg headers or just keep what I got? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I almost bought the same ones until I heard about fenderwell exit headers. I have a '79 Bronco and I have Hedman fenderwell exit headers, they were originally slip-on collectors but I converted them to bolt on. I also have 33" tires and there is plenty of clearance. I only had some minor inner fender trimming to make them fit. I also had to put a dimple in one of the tubes on the drivers side because it rubbed on the front body mount. I bought used headers so it may not be a problem with the new ones.
