thinking about selling the v10... how much could i get??
its a 1999 f250 superduty v10 single cab xlt power windows, locks and mirrors. auto trany, 102,000 miles. i have a diablo predator chip, flowmaster 40 serries exhaust with 5 inch stacks. billet grill, brand new 305 mickey thompson 33 inch tires. transmision temp gauge. its has had 93 octane fuel run through it since 89,000 miles. i keep it extremly clean what do you think i can get for it
Just a thought, put it back as close to stock as you can with in a reasonable cost. Your custom taste in aftermarkets may not be inviting to others. I know my thoughts if looking at a truck with the larger tires and programmer is that "It was most likely road hard and put up wet...Even if the paint does shines real pretty" Then consider the exhaust, some people just don't want to hear it , they like a quite truck, and a V-10 sounds strange as it is to the ear of a V-8 owner, and that is not even taking into account the like or dislike of the stacks. As for the higher rated gas, with the mileage of the V-10 I know I wouldn't want to pay any higher prices at the pump than I have to, heck it already cost me $75.00 to fill this gas sucking beast up with the cheap gas.
But again, this is only MY opinion.
The milage is very low for a 99 which will help a lot but the stacks, mufflers and chip make your buying audience go way down. Basically any aftermarket goodie will decrease your buying audience however for the select few who do want that it can increase price. Its a gamble when resaleing for sure.
8-10K is about rite. Just for comparo I gave 5500 for my 99 with 178000 on the clock and the truck was clean and tight.
yeah i thought that most the aftermarket stuff wouldnt help at all but im gonna put a coat of wax on it and sit it in front of the house and see if it catches anyones eye it sure is a sharp truck when all clean... which it never is haha.
Theres an *** for every seat, as long as your not in too much of a hurry to sell it, put it out front and see what happens. If its as sharp looking as you say it is, someone will just have to have it.
Where did you order stacks from i was wanting to put them on my v10 how do they sound any pics? As for after market stuff i have almost everything done to mine granted i use it for what i built it for and that is off road use but they local dealers just offered my 4500 and i just laughed in their faces.
i bought them of ebay for 100 bucks ...5 inch aussies or whatever they are called....no cat and i run a flowmasters 40 original serries....i bought all the 4 inch pipeing from a trucking store and built my own kit...sounds amazing. you can get the superduty diesel kits and use all that piping in the bed...i can trty to get some pictures of it in a couple days..... i just love the look on peoples face when i pull up to a GAS pump and fill er up! lmao
well i was thinking about selling it and going diesel....but the only reason behind that is because my family has a bunch of diesels running bio diesel. 80 cents a gallon... well i changed my mind and im gonna run the v10 beast untill she dies...if ever....then drop a diesel in it from there
