Question '46 Tonner Fuel Pump Questions

Hey guys, need to order a new fuel pump for my '46. Need to know which one to buy. It's a 1-ton, with a flathead 6.

It has a steel bowl in it right now, but Mac's shows that fuel pump to be correct for 32-42 but it will fit 32-48.

The glass bowls show 46-48, V8, 85, 90, and 95HP. Would any of those be ME? And will the glass bowl be correct for the '46 1-ton? Thanks a bunch!

The fuel pump you need is for a 6 cyl, the ones you are looking at are for V8s. They pop up on eBay. I also might have one, rebuilt, from when I had a couple of the flathead 6's. If you can't find one I can dig around and see if I still have it. The fuel pump was the same on the 1/2 ton and 1 ton 6 cylinders.

Do I need a glass bowl pump or a steel bowl pump? Do you have a Mac's catalog handy? The pumps don't seem to say for 6's, just for 8's and specific years...

The only glass bowl 6 cylinder specific pump listed is for 47-48? "47-48 with glass bowl, 6 cylinder cars with vaccym controlled distributor" Which is not me, I'm sure.

I can't remember, but I think all the 6's I had, and the pump I have, might have been the glass bowl versions. I was just thinking though, do have the original '46 6 in that truck, the G series motor, or has it been swapped to the H series? G series has a crab type distributor, while the H uses a more modern looking distributor

Hey, the motor that is in the truck right now is a Ferro E14522 5. It has a steel bowl pump on it.

I also have the original 6 that was in it which has a casting of Ferro 2GA6015 5 and it has a steel bowl pump on it as well.

So, what pump do I need for the E series thats in it now? That is "correct" for the 1 ton? I am hoping to get a glass bowled pump, they look awesome.
