How many 08 reg cab guys we have on here?

Hey guys I am thinking off getting a new 2008 SD SD reg cab before the end off the year. I was just kind off wondering what kind off mileage you guys are getting from the reg cab trucks. I currently have a reg cab superduty an love it. Just thinking off updating. Not sure about color choices though. Ill let you guys chime in on that one. Tell me if you like the color you have an you have a pic maybe I can take a look. Sounds like most people are pleased with the o08s except for maybe the mileage. Thanks for the help. Its much appreciated.

I certainly do not have a regular cab, but will chime in none the less.

These trucks are by far the best Ford has put forth. The ride is teriffic, handling is out of this world and the preformance of the 6.4 is 2nd to none. I cannot comment on the gasser's.

If you need a push, here it is. You'll not only be the envy of your friends and neighbors.....you'll own what many of us consider to be one of the Best Ford trucks ever made.

My color choice is White over Gold...but that's just me, all my vehicles are white!

Thanks for the help. Probably not to many reg cabs out there. White is easy to keep clean. I have dark color an it always looks dirty. Dont worry I wouldnt buy nothing but a Ford.

I think that most folks have found that for little difference in over-all length, an extended cab just gives you so much more versitility.

I went from an extended cab to a crew (for the kids) and I wouldn't want it any other way. It is quite a long vehicle though.

I have an F-350 reg cab XLT in Gray. It has 3500 miles and I am getting 16.9 mpg. I have a manual tranny,And 3.75 rear gears.I love the truck. My only question so far is why won't FORD put a sat radio in a reg cab? I had a FORD unit put in but it sure wasn't cheap.

colors

I saw a bright red FX4 on Saturday in Mt. Juliet TN that just blew me away. It had the body colored grill and the gray fender flairs. They come with the black interior and the black would look great with this color combo. I believe it was an extended cab. It had the 20's w/white lettered tires and the power mirrors. It was a bold, in-your-face, I'm the boss, sporty look to such a monster of a truck. Simply awesome looking.

I have a gray metalic Lariat 4x4 that certainly gets attention but the red FX4 made my truck look ultra conservative and under stated.

Also, the white over tan is another favorite of mine that looks great on the 06-08 SuperDuty trucks.

You'll love the F250 6.4. A great dealer will keep you happy if you have a problem down the road.

Yeh Ford has a lot off nice colors for there trucks. Gray or red would be nice. 16.9MPG dont sound to bad. My current truck varies from 16 to 18 MPG depending on the fuel an what Im doing with it. More replies welcome. So far not to may reg cabs out there yet. Thanks for the help.

I have a Reg cab 2008, XLT I bought the reg cab for a work truck, I go into some tight places and needed to keep the wheelbase short. the 6.4 seems to have good power, I am happy so far. The MPG you get now are way better than mine, i'm at 11.6 but only have 550 miles on the truck. By the way mines Black

Man these fuel mileage numbers are sure not encouraging. If 11 MPG is all that I can get. I might as well get a gasser. Maybe have to wait for the Job 3 trucks with the new 3;55 gears. See what kind off mileage they get there. Big dirt what rear end ratio do you have? The previous post got 17 on his truck. Im really kind off disgusted that I spend big bucks on a diesel truck an get 11 MPG. When diesel is .50 higher then gas in the first place.

I think Ford realizes they have big problem with fuel mileage on these trucks an now they are putting in the 3:55 gears to try to help which I dont know which is good. All the EPa regalations are really hurting thse diesel trucks. when Ford has a job 3 truck this early in the game. Theres some serious issue involves an fuel mileage is one off them. When diesels cant cant smoke anymore. What do you expect. I have seen so amny posts on bad fuel mileage 10-11 MPG. If thats the case I will be getting a gas superduty.

I have a 2008 F-250 XL tho and i love the truck I have no complaints except for the DPF is in the way for stacks so i can tdo that but the truck with a 6 speed is loaded with power. Just watch on icy roads it tends to be toucher than an extended cab

Have 3.73 in both ends, your right mine stickered at 41,969 you would think it would get a little better mileage.
