Kinda New and have questions.
I'm looking to buy a 1990 F150 with the 300I6 engine, 4x4. My question is,
What is the 5 speed tranny behind it?
What is the Transfer case that is used in the F150?
Torque
Horsepower

I only know that the 5 speed is more then likely a mazda. It is a light-duty trans with a fairly weak 5th gear, not good for heavy towing if you are going to be doing that frequently.

It is a four wheel drive crawl under it and see what you got look on the side of the tranny if it is a ZF it will tell you on the tag, look at the rear of the transfer case it will also tell you. more than likely a NPxxx. In lou at that copy down the info on the door sticker and find shop book and dechiper that info it will tell you also what you have.
