I almost never lock my doors, even when I get out...The keys almost never leave the ignition either, heck, I usually leave it running...

and I drive an 05 250...

Nope... I drive with my arm out the window.

I don't lock it when I park it either. Someone wants something inside it that desperately they are only going to kick the window in to get it... I would rather save them (and more importantly, me) the trouble.

Around my city, no.

When I go into Boston, you bet your azz I do. Although in the summer when a carjacking is probably more likely, I prefer open windows to a/c.

My 250 has the annoying feature of locking the doors when you turn on the ignition, so often they're locked. It's a PIA as every time I go to get something out of the passenger side, that darn thing is locked. I keep meaning to figure out how to disable that, but it never makes it to the top of the list.

But by choice I almost never lock the doors - except as nitramjr said, when we're down in the "big city"...

Always.....Even though I'm big, mean, motivated, and always armed.....I'll avoid having to shoot some silly-a$$ carjacker who made the mistake of picking MY car if at all possible......Too much paperwork and hassle......

I do because my alarm automaticly locks them, but as a habit I do lock the doors. Parts of Orlando that I have to drive through can get pretty rough.

I lock my doors most of the time when in public and at home (doesn't fit in the garage), but not when I'm on a jobsite. I only lock them to deter those who might do a quick-grab but aren't bold enough to smash the window to get something.

In certain parts of Reno/Sparks, yes. In Fallon, no. Part of the reason I moved out here.

I always lock mine from my first days of driving. It is automatic in my mind, like buckling up. It is more for saftey in a crash at least from old drivers ed training.

I love to drive around with the windows open though. I have never felt threatened while driving around but then I am 6'4 and to far over 200# so most people don't mess with me. I even used to regularly drive thru Watts and South Central, never had any problems but then I usually wasn't around late at night.

My new car does auto locking so no choice there. Doesn't bother me since I would do it anyway.

In WV? Nahhh...

I think there's more problems with people burning furniture here than carjackings.
