You got a good one there and you'll find tons of information about that engine in the tech forums. Click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll through the 6.0 engine forum, the Super Duty Forum, the towing forum if you do tow, you get the idea.
Also checkout the state chapters to see what is happening around you. It's located towards the end of the Forum list.

I do tow a boat, and an ATV trailer. Thanks for the welcome. I am very excited about my new truck. I have to admit, I may have been misled by mileage brags from other diesel owners. I had guys telling me they were pulling their jet sled over the cascade mountain passes, getting 18-20 MPG doing 70 mph, etc... This weekend I pulled my ATV trailer (3k lbs) for 240 miles. Some pretty good hills and twisty roads in the mix. I only got about 13 mpg. Empty around town I have gotten 16 mpg on my first tank. From what I have read so far, the really high mileage claims may not be all they are cracked up to be.
