Painting exhaust system

I finally painted the "cannon" today. Used 2 cans of Rustoleum stove paint(black). I got all of the system from the rear all the way up to a couple feet before the downpipe and from there forward I was only able to paint all but an inch on top of the pipe. It is much less noticable from the side now.

You only used TWO cans? Dude i used about 5-6 cans of primer and i had to use that much again for the flat black. I heat wrapped my downpipe to keep the heat out of the engine bay and that close to my fuel feed line. I had to paint the splitter for my stacks in my bed though. Did you remove the system?

No, I didn't remove the system, but i did remove all the clamps and mount clamps(one at a time). 2 cans is just a start, I'll drive it a little and recoat the entire system again.
