Hello, I have a 1984 F-150 4x4. I've owned it since 1987. bought it off the original owner. It had 34000 miles on it. Loved it. At 97000 miles it spun the cam gear. Bent 8 valves. I had a good friend fix it for me. He told me I should get 50000 miles out of the rebuild. I had well over that. Several years later the bottom end started to show signs of wear and lack of power. In the morning starting her up no problem. Oil pressure is good power is good. Until she warmed up on the way to work. She wouldn't even get out of her own way. That went on for a while until i had the motor sent to Jasper Engine to have her re-built. Over $5000.00 later she is running excellent. Oil pressure, Power..etc. Until last summer i noticed one evening on the way home from work i noticed some hesitation. Didn't think much of it. Well it proggresively got worse. Now the hesitation is violent. Bucking and cutting out. Then after it cuts out it comes right back runs good for a while. I went thru everything. Plugs, Wire set, cap&rotor, Coil, Module, Pick-up, Fuel filter (in line). Had the Carb cleaned. supposed to have been a $100 re-build. The Oxygen sensor is the latest part i changed. Seemed to run good for a few days. Back to the same old thing. I think it is the Ethenol in the gas. Seems like water in the gas. Doesn't Ethenol obsorb moisture??? I'm going crazy. Has anyone heard of or has had any of these types of symptoms. It would be greatly appreciated. MJG
