Wow, thats pretty cool!

That's one that would have to have the full restoration treatment! It wouldn't do to slip off intot he darkside with a rare truck like that

Yup bob I am, however this is the first time I've been able to get on the forum in a few days.. on the road for work.

Looks a whole lot like what I'm building.. except I'm just sticking with 2 doors and I'm using a long box. I've seen a few of these truck that were built by aftermarket companies for special groups, mainly things like railroad, military, firefighting, etc. I'm saving the pics of it though for my collection. Heres a pic of mine below for those who aren't familiar with it.

I wonder if that rear bumper would have been part of the conversion?

It wouldn't have been an option that Ford would have offered.. they didn't make any sort of supercab until the mid 60's (63 I beleive). It is possibly it was a custom build by aftermarket company, I have an add from a company called Armbruster that made 4 door cabs (along the lines of Marmont Herrington made 4x4s).. or it could be a home build

Ya, I like the bumpers and I just noticed the rear bed supports (that are holding the rear lights). All my trucks had this modification and it is a pain to remove, plus it renders the stake pockets useless.

As noted on the HAMB, it has a pre-50 bed (raised panel), that's been shortened. I am surprised to see the extra door on the driver's side. That rear bumper is most likely a dealer-added, locally made one. Mine came with one like it, and the dealer's name stamped into it.
