Question Two 1947 F6 trucks

Two 1947 F6 trucks for sale locally in Ohio. What is a good price for these. They are fairly solid with 12" flatbeds on them. I can buy them both for 1200.00. I am really into 51-52 trucks, but I was going to look for some direction from you guys in this year bracket. Parts are they hard to find?

Give me some direction guys pros and cons

Thanks Kevin

Sounds ok...as you know, the bigger trucks don't command as much money as their 1/2 ton, or their 1 tons brothers. Parts are incredibly easy to find for these trucks, as easy as your '51. Cabs interchange with all ton ratings, as do hoods and grilles. Just like your '51, the fenders and frames are different from smaller trucks. Do they run? How much rust? I might see if the seller would let them go for $1000 cash.

By the way, there is no such thing as a F series truck before '48. There is no name for the bigger trucks in '47. They are usually just referred to by their ton rating, or even the wheelbase.

He referred to them as ton and a half trucks. I asked him is he would take a grand, he said his brother in law said they were worth more. I will take some pics tomorrow and post them. He said they both turn over. They have 339 flat 8's in them. I will take a good look tomorrow and post some pics and serial numbers as well.

Thanks Kevin

Assuming those flatheads aren't cracked like 95% of them seem to be.
