98 Explorer XLT panic alarm keeps going off

98 Explorer XLT panic alarm keeps going off
Hi there,
We have just bought a '98 Explorer XLT and the panic alarm keep going off intermittantly for no reason whatsoever. Happens mostly at night but there is noone around it.
How can I either disable the panic alarm or is it possible to troubleshoot the cause without having to take it in to the shop?
I would appreciate any suggestions!

take the alarm system fuse out until you fix it.

it is probably in the power dist box under the hood.

Which fuse is the alarm fuse?

I have had that problem before and found out the battery was going bad and the voltage would drop momentarily and set the alarm off.
