1946 Ford Truck
So a little over a year ago i introduced myself and posted about my 46 ford truck. well the truck is still in mexico but in a recent trip, i got a chance to mess with it a little and snap a few pics...the license plate cover says "1946 Ford - Early V8" Since I got it back in (1999 I think) my dad had a W351 put in along with an AOD tranny, new suspension, wheels and suicide shaved doors, oh yeah and some unfinished gauges. Other than that thats how we bought it.
We only got to put maybe 6,000 miles on it and its been sitting there since 2001 i think. So chances of anything still working are slim

But here are the pics and i hope someday soon i can get to work on it again. Oh yeah, my dad made a few mexican movies and he had the truck in one back when it worked. I'll try to upload a video of it online sometime...

The box and rear fenders are 51/52. Tailgate is shortened and resembles a model T/A gate. Same with the front headwall of the box. I presume it is due to the lowered stance and the frame mounted gas tank.
Most of what shows under the hood is custom. A good bit of the interior is custom.
You're going to have to be as creative when it comes time to replace things as the guy was who did the customizing.
That said, Sacramento Vintage Ford, Mac's Antique Auto, Mack Products, Inc, etc are a few places that might be of help to you depending on what parts you need. Don't overlook your local NAPA store. They have access to many thing for older trucks.
I was wondering, im assuming the previous owner (in mexico) maybe got ahold of some parts from the US. I have to check the VIN again to see if it was perhaps from Mexico or if it is indeed a US truck. Im very pleased with the way it looks but it still needs a lot of work. I need to get some minor misc. parts that are original.
Thanks again!
