1946 Ford Panel Truck

Wow! If yours is a 7-1/2 ft. half-ton, my book says that due to material shortages there were only a limited number of these made. The 1/2 ton panel model numbers were GC82 with a 226 cid. 6 cyl., and 9C82 with a 239.4 cid V8. You could give Hemmings a try at: http://www.hemmings.com
I hope this helps.

46 panel

I just purchased a complete 46 panel as a project when I retire. Looks like a heavy duty, V8, the fellow drove it to its resting place 12 years ago. I don't have the VIN yet as I only seen it on a cross county trip and purchased it playing phone tag between MT and HI. It will have to sit for another 7 years before I can really work on it, Any pointers/suggestions?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

get it put away before Mother Nature and other Sierra club type members wreak havoc on it. (County Ordinances may consider it abandoned for 7 years) I would get another look at it and get it titled in your name before doing anything else. Even if it is on your property in MT, the neighbors can still complain....not likely, but it is possible. Stranger things have happened. Great score, though....I've been looking for one myself.

I wish I had $1500. I watched it, and am watching another right now (1952). I'm particular to finding a 1942-1947 panel 1/2 ton, or 1940-1949 IH k/kb panel. Or a 1929 Ford panel(sedan delivery) if I get lucky enough. This summer has turned into a bills slugfest, though. Gas don't help either.

...I bought this one about a year ago. Chased the guy for 15 years before he would part with it.

SStans, looks like a pretty solid old gal, but you sure have some work cut out for you.
Make sure you have a mask on when cleaning her up. that 53 I bought from Sask., was the Deluxe Panel, complete with a full headliner from the factory, and yes it was full, nasty stuff.
Best of luck to you with your new toy, hope it turns out well for you.
