I have a 42 Ford Pick-up that needs work and that I need an idea on what price to put on it and how to sell it? Appreciate any recommendations or ideas. Thanks.
Welcome to the site As far as how much to sell your truck for that is hard without seeing it or knowing anything about it but you can list it on the classified section of this board when you decide how much you want but I would try to get a picture of it to post so people can see what it looks like.

Another thing to do is go into all the classifieds you can find on Classic Trucks and see what's out there that's comparable to the truck you have. I think you'll see that there is no standard for the price to set. It also depends on how soon you want to unload it.
I think the Hemmings website is as good if not better than the magazine.
If your truck is a 1942, it must a 1 ton, 41 is the last year Ford made the 1/2 ton until about 1946 - the 1 ton's don't seem to be as hot a seller as the 1/2 tons. When we were looking for our 1941 truck, we found alot of 1 tons that were going dirt cheap.
