I've had a '47 Ford 1-Ton that I inherited from my late husband for about 15 years. Someone came by and saw it in my driveway and asked what I would want for it. I'm ready now to sell it, but I don't have any idea of what to ask for it. After he passed away it was driven from California to AZ and parked. Pack rats have destroyed the wiring. It was obviously a farm truck. My husband had it primered; most everything on it needs tinkering with and/or replacing. Any suggestions anyone? The body is great. I've restored one pickup in my lifetime, and just don't have the energy to do this one...Appreciate your help.
susieq, your best bet would be to look in the local want ads or in hemmings motors catalog and see what they are bringing it is very hard for someone to tell you over the computer what something is worth The 1 ton is not as desireable as a 1/2 ton but the metal has to be getting hard to find for these trucks so that would make it worth something I can't honestly give you a figure to shoot for this is kind of like a crap shoot it is very valuable to someone and not worth a dime to someone else.it is just a matter of who wants it and how much they are willing to spend. John
Do you still have this truck?
I am also in Phoenix and may be interested.
Please contact me either way, Thanks
