39'ford 4x4 marmen harrington(Clark Gables?)
I have a 39' ford in my back yard .I was told it originally belonged to Clark Gable(Gone With The Wind),it has a custome bed with special compartments for rifles water storage etc. I am trying to find a photo of this truck so i can restore. I would appreciate any information.

I have two great books that have pictures of MH fords.The Marmon Heritage by George and Stacey Hanley and Ford trucks since 1905 by James Wagner. I have a 1946 MH 4x4 ford pickup I would welcome any information about this year, includeding number produced, etc..

What size and body style is your truck? I just bought a '39 Ford Marmon-Herrington 1/2-ton pickup that I'm going to restore. I have a good transfer case, but need a complete front axle/differential (bigger versions won't work, as mine is the same size as passenger car). Let's share info: these trucks are rare!

Does your '46 have 3-piece, "Banjo" type, passenger-style front and rear axles, with separate center section, or the standard '46 and newer type 2-piece pickup axles? Hopefully the former, as this extends my search category into post-war years for the front differential/axle I need for my '39 M-H LD-3-4 pickup.
I'm an American from Washington State, where my trucks are, but I'm currently living in Australia. A guy I know here has a '42 Ford M-H 1/2-ton pickup, RH drive, that was originally ordered by the Dutch Govt. as part of a huge M-H order of trucks and tanks for their military forces in the Dutch East Indies. A bit of this equipment got through before the Japanese invasion: the rest was re-routed to Australia in transit, and used by Australian forces. This truck has the passenger-style axles, so I'm curious what yours have. I have also seen a civilian US M-H '46 Ford pickup written up in a car magazine that has the passenger-type axles.

1939 Ford Marmon Herrington 1/2 ton truck
