Odd question, 1946 fender son 1950 cab?

Anyone know for sure that this wouldn't work? It looks like if I cut down the stock 1950 hood I might be able to get it to mate with the '46 fenders? Maybe even use the 1950 grill parts in the 1946 opening? Just exploring my options.
Thanks,
CHAZ

If you're looking for a 42-47 Ford truck hood, then no need to cut up a 50 hood. I have a 42-47 hood that I don't need.

I have extra 46-47 parts for sale also. What do you need?

My question I guess is would the fenders mate with a 1950 cab?

Isn't the 48-50 cab wider than the 42-47 cabs?

From the picture it looks like you're building a truck far from stock. I would think you could make anything fit if you have the tools and ability. Good luck.

Yeah the chassis is lowered, and it is channeled and will be chopped. I don't like how fat the 50 fenders are. Plus I threw the set I had away because I wasn't planning on using them. DUH!

Anybody know?
I could use early 48-50 F1 fenders if anybody has a set laying around.

I wouldn't ever throw fenders like that away even if they are rough. Fenders are very hard to find these days. And 48-50 cabs are about 4 inches wider than a 46-47 cabs. If I remember right.

If anyone has a set of F1 fenders of any useful condition laying around they'll be asking big$$$$, these fenders are getting hard to find in useable condition. You might want to look around for a set from a F-2 and up, there are more around and a little lower priced. The only difference is the wheel opening is larger.

Yeah I know I am an a$$!! I was planning a rat rod with no fenders and I would still be doing it that way, but there is no way I could get it street legal in PA like that. They eliminated the fender and bumper requirement but only for street rod tags, and they must be '48 or older trucks. I look at the pics of the fenders now and I could just cry!

Find a title from a '48 truck.
