Anyone know where I could find an already made up new 56 dash bottom panel? To clarify, Its a 2 to 3 inch high metal strip that bolts on bottom of dash and goes all th way across the dash. Its a piece of metal you can mount gauges, a/c outlets, switches, etc. I`ve seen them in 56 truck photos and a while back I believe I saw one in a catalog. If any could direct me in the right direction I`d appreciate it. Thanks.
7530 is definitely fiberglass. 7533 is definitely 18 gauge steel. 7533 gives you 4 inches by 56 inches long at an approx. 45 degree angle towards you from the bottom.
I made my own. There's a few pics in my dash gallery...
That will do, Thanks. I,m just too far past (21) to learn new tricks I guess.
B/B, it took me several tries before I figured out how it works. Once I did it, the question was, now how do I do it again? ( I just doubled that magic 21)

mechmagcn - The picture you posted is exactly what I looking for. And that is one beautiful 56. If you dont mind I`d like to know color. Its simular to mine. its georgous. ferguson777 - thanks for the part no. at mid fifty. this forum is outstanding !
Check also with Dan Carpenter Specialties. They offer a nice steel panel that has a radius on the bottom that matches the bottom of the dash. That makes it look like it was stock and isn't that the point anyway? I like modifications that are subtle and look stock to all but the very knowledgable.
truckfarmer, - AZAV8, Thanks for your input. And thanks to all. I guess now it comes down to decision time. Anyone want to comment on the relative quality of any of the dash extensions mentioned above? Go`es without saying -the more info you have the easier it us to make the decision. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all and HAPPY NEW YEAR. GUSSO
Wayne - I just went to see your gallery and read the comments. There is nothing I could say that has not already been said. Simply stated , Your `56 is beautiful. with that said I have a question. Did you fabricate the dash extension or was it from a catalog? - and if so did you modify it? Beautiful, Beautiful, truck. Thanks for your input.
