Updating running gear to super coupe
As of recent I acquired a 49 delivery truck and my son and I are concidering placing the running gear from a 1990 thunderbird super coupe into it to make it a daily driver. What things must be considered to accomplish the task? The engine is a super charged 3.8 and the tranny is a five speed and it has IRS with full disk brakes and most tiomes ABS. It most assuredly would bring it up to date technology wise. I'm going to take the body off and box the frame and try to configure the cross bracing to accomodate the rear suspension and I am sure the frame will need similar treatment for front end suspension work. Is there any place for tech tips?
