56 f100 frame build using 69 thunderbird subframe

I am building a 56 big window, that will be using a 69 thunderbird subframe, and an 89 super coupe irs[/IMG]

well I give up on posting pictures, I figured out how to do the album uploads, so i'll just post the build there as I take more pictures

Cool, are you using the rear axle from the 69 as well or the one from the Supercoupe?

I understand about using what you have, but using a much later donor will make your life much easier. Say if you use a CrownVic sub frame and need wheel seals or brake parts... you can go right down to the local parts store and pick them up, around here they would have to special order parts for the 40 year old front end. Also modern suspension, steering and brakes are much improved over the bird. BTW, the bird would make a great cruiser also... just sayin.

you are right, but I am able to buy everything for bird front end from the local parts store. I had this and wanted to make use of it. Besides the brakes on the bird are huge

This 56 Panel has a 69 T-Bird IFS in it. Been on the road since the late 90's.
