Hello,
I've got a '50 F1 gas tank if you need it? I don't know if it would be the same type you have? Mine was behind the seat. It's rust and dent free. Send me an email if you're interested.
The cabs and interiors are identical as far as I have been able to determine for all '48-50 and F1-F6's.
I have a gas tank from an F3 in my F1 and it is an exact copy of the rusted-out stock original I took out.
All glass can be purchased from any of the suppliers or you can go to a local auto glass shop and purchase the same thing much cheaper and save freight as well. It is all safety sheet glass and can be purchased with or without the upper tinting.
The radio blockoff plates, antennas, etc. can be ordered from several suppliers. Radios are as scarce as hen's teeth. If you'd like a list of suppliers I've used successfully email me off forum at mtflat(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
You can use a radio from a 49 Mercury. The only real difference is the truck radio face is the same color as the speaker grille and the Mercury face is all chrome. The ***** are different also. it has only 2 mounting holes intead of the 4 the truck radio has. But it bolts up the same, using the brackets in the truck dash. They are alot easier to find than the truck radio is. One of the resto books out there has a pic of the Merc radio in a truck and it's a perfect fit. There's a company out there called EMS and they make patch panels for the 48-52 trucks. They advertise in Hemmings every month.
