My Comprehensive list of solved problems - 98 exp 5.4L
For future reference to all with 98 expedition probs:
first prob ever was the PCV elbow, rough idle, rough running... got cable harness from dealer, but hence found out you can just by the elbow from Advanced auto or other:
Motormite Vacuum connector (~$4, I don't know which one)
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...%20%2D%20Elbow
ABS light with 'stutter/slide' while braking, can remove ABS fuse to stop premature ABS engagement (brake slide/stutter) and then replace rear differential sensor (NAPA #530780 = $11)
Rear end sagging (tire up in wheel well), in my case it was only the Air Compressor Relay, part # F3LY2C013A $90
If Cruise Control wont work anymore, replace Brake Pressure Switch , part # F3TZ9F924BB $20-30
P0104 code.... replaced DPFE with Autozone (WELLS SU2108 - $39)
First confirmed bad DPFE by reading 5V(bad) from top lead to middle lead (DPFE out to GROUND) It should read .5V.
http://rockledge.home.comcast.net/Ra...tage-Test.html

--- after replacement of DPFE car sputtered BAD...
codes then read P0306 and P0174...
cleaned MAF by removing Air filter housing on both side and simply blew hard onto MAF sensor leads....(I'm not sure why other show completely removing it from the housing with TOrx, etc) worked GREAT! No codes so far so good.

Hope this helps, this site has been a Godsend!!

Which elbow in the PCV goes (or should I ask where is it at)? I may want to replace that to avoid future issues if it's that cheap. picture where it is at relative to other parts under the hood would be nice
Thanks

Thanks
While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com
Anyone know which elbow connector goes on a 98 Exp. 5.4L EB?
