Maintenance and reliability, Going to buy a 97 expedition?
hey i was about to buy a 97 or 98 expedition with 108000 miles for around $5k and was wondering if maintenance and repair costs on these are expensive except the gas costs. And how reliable are they past 100k miles.

It will depend on how much you can do yourself and what kind of driving you do.
I have a '97 with over 327,500 miles on it. The only real "surprises" I had were the fuel pump and the alternator failing.
Keep on top of stuff and the truck will roll forever.
