Exclamation 04 expo.... the nightmare continues....

Hey gang! 1st time to the site. I've been doing a lot of surfing these days due to my expo and stumbled across you. Glad to be aboard.

I know the word nightmare got your attention, so let me explain.

The subject in no way implies that I'm not happy with my expo, just the oposite. I love it. It's all Black (no two tone anywhere) with 20 in giovani rims and Toyo Tires. it's an edie bauer edition thats loaded with every option with the exception of heated seats (I live in GA) and a sun roof.

6 (almost 7) months ago, the truck was stolen after the Mrs. and I had anight on the town and had someone else drive us home. I guess that will teach us to be responsibile huh? Any way, we went back for it the next morning and it was gone. 2 Weeks later, they found the truck. Of course, my wheels and tires are gone, along with all the stereo equipment (estimated about $2500.00). As if this were'nt bad enough, we were informed it had damage on the drivers side.

We were insured (and I say WERE) through Liberty Mutual. Almost 7 months later now, they have done NOTHING!!!! NOt paid one red cent. The only thing they have done is accuse my wife and I of driving it home drunk and filing false police reports and comiting insurance fraud. I guess it always has been my life long dream to become a fellon... (sigh) We've been in depositions and everything else but again, almost 7 months later and no word on whether they will pay the claim or not.

The Mrs and I were getting tired of paying for the rental we had for all this time so we coughed up ther $1000.00 to get it out of storage and then another $2,000.00 at the mechanics shop to make her safe to drive, oh... and new tires and rims too. Needless to say, my baby is still ugly as sin as she needs a new front door, quarter panel and running board. The search continues as to where I can find these parts cheap as the body shop estimate was $5,500.00.

I did mention I live in GA right? Well now I really look the part. Got my truck all set up with some brand new duct tape to keep out the wind and rain!

At least I did find black duct tape though.

Ok, I'm done ranting, but seriously this post is for two reasons.

1- where can I find these parts cheap?

2- if you are insured by liberty mutaul... do like Forest Gump does and RUN FOREST RUN!!!!!!! I'll admit, their rates are rather cheap, but what good does that do you when they dont cover anything? Look them up online. They are being sued EVERY WHERE. Heck, even the attorney General of the state of New York is sueing them for BID RIGGING!!!! No wonder they can't afford to pay my claim!

Ya'll take care and I'll be sure to come back soon.

Jay

Both my brothers in law sold for Liberty Mutual and I never had a problem with the one claim I had. Oh well, different folks different experiences. I'm so negative on insurance companies anyway, you don't need any more hatred from me!

What parts are you looking for specifically?

Oh, and welcome to the site!

i've always figured hkiefus was just the dude's first initial and last name.

man jay, what a horrible experience. i'd check ebay, and junkyards for cheap parts. i think you may even be able to haggle down the quoted price at a junkyard, though i ain't sure about that.

Expedition's are known as Expy's by owners, not Expo's. Pathfinder's are known as Pathy's by owners - what's up with that? No my real first name is not Darth.
