Check out this website. It gives the stock jetting for holley carbs. They are usually pretty close stock..71's are huge for that application..I run 66 primary and 72 secondary on my 390...Too rich and it will really shorten engine life..Somtimes you need to be that rich to compensate for a really wild cam.. http://www.mortec.com/carbs.htm

What alittude are you ? I run a 4160 Holley 600CFM and it came out of the box with .064 primary. I run .622 Maxi-Jets and could run .612s. I run at 5500 ft. This Holley is on a 460 with an Edelbrock, I run a Blk secondary spring with a quick change secondary housing. I run a Cloyes TRUE Street roller chain set ADV 4 degrees beyond TDC. You should easily beable to run .061s. I haven't played with the secondary side because towing if I need the secondaies I need the gas for power.
