I've seen a lot of posts on this, esp. with a NEW truck. Usually ends up being factory grease melting and just sitting where you're seeing it. Wipe it off...it should disappear within a thousand miles or so. If it gets so bad as it actually drips on the ground, schedule a service call.
Thanks for the pics. That's exactly what mine looks like, but mine is chronic because it keeps coming back. Like I said, nothing crazy, no real drip, just that annoying wet spot and one drop. After reading the posts, I think I'll leave it alone. Sometimes they screw it up more when they try to fix it.
JMullens, I've had my 06 in the shop twice for the bellhousing leak. First time, tech couldn't find leak so he added tracer dye. I brought it back, as instructed, after 500 miles and they replaced the RMS. Looked good for a few days then oil spot was back. It dosn't leak enough to drip on the ground, but I am going to mention it to the service writer when I bring it in for my first oil change.
