I have created an electrical short by being where i shouldn't have been. Have lost interior lights;wipersand speedometer. Have no manual. Is this a relay or fuse issue? All fuses on L.dash panel by door are hot. Need help. Deb
Well Deb, where were you that you shouldn't of been? Not that I'm nosey, it might help figure out the problem with a little more back ground. I mean like, did you submerge the truck in water, or were you trying to hook up a stero or something?
As Wendell suggested, a little more detail would likely help us make a better guess.
It's likely a fuse, or fuseable link, problem, but thats just a guess, as we don't have any idea what you were working on, which circuit, or what happened.
You may be able to find a electrical system pictorial or schematic for your ride on AutoZones web site, or maybe find something at your local library, or favorite autoparts store.
Try to give us some more detail & maybe we can narrow it down some more.
Ok. Guess I will tell the truth. I was trying to disable the airbag warning beeper. We replaced the airbag but the light and beeper would not stop. Ford wanted mega dollars just to look at it. Well I found the box mounted on the right side of instrument cluster behind and to the left of radio. The round beeper would not unplug and I touched both prongs that are soldered to circut board and Zap the interior light went out and later found wipers and speedo dead. Well today I was moving all fuses again and all at once it clicked and interior light came on wipers worked and speedo is now working. I dont know what I did except bump a fuse. Havent drove far so not sure if beeping will start again. It beeps 5 times for about 5 cycles then quits. If it starts beeping again, I turn the radio up. I am done fooling around with this truck. Thanks to all Deb

Well...some wires may be loose somewhere. I'm not experienced with air bags, as my truck is not so equipped, though I believe I have a fuse for them. Perhaps you could remove the air bag fuse to disable the entire system? Though I don't see that being safe for obvious reasons.
