Hi guys,
My 92 F150 with the 5.8 started smelling like coolent. We got out and looked under the hood, found no leaks or signs of overheating and it didn't smell like coolent under the hood, only inside the cab. Then we realized the truck was steaming up because the coolent was steaming into the vents. Did it worst on hot. So I am thinking heater core. What do you guys think I should look at first?
Thanks
Lars
Ok guys, I took the glove box off and am not sure where the heater core is exactly. The truck has AC. There is the black plastic box right behind the glove box but it doesnt look easy to get out of there. Do I need to take the dash out? Or is it the box just to the left of that more over the trany hump?
Thanks for your help.
Lars
