So after only 60k, my brake master cylinder is giving up the ghost.
Looking for a replacement but there are some options on which one I have...
This is a 2001 4L sohc 4x4 xlt and told there is the option of having one w/o speed control, with speed control and with electric drive...
Whats the difference.
Thanks
The Rexanator.
I'd assume of course speed control is cruise control. No idea on "electric drive" though.
See if there's a part number on your busted one, cross reference part numbers, and see what cha need. Use Motorcraft if you can, brakes are something awfully important to use a crappy knockoff replacement.
ok so I answered my question by calling a dealership.
As assumed, speed control is for cruise contol. The "electric drive" is for electric powered vehicles.
And the dealership was cheaper than Carquest by $.5
Thanks
There are/were rangers of the 01-03 style that were electrically powered. I don't know a whole lot on them, just the fact there were indeed Zero Emissions Rangers. SULEV would tag a really clean motor, and PZEV would tag a hybrid, but the Ranger's I am pretty certain were ZEV vehicles....
