choosing a carb spacer

Need some help. This is probably a stupid question...My 390 has the stock cast iron 4v intake manifold and I have a holley 4160 carb. I need a spacer so the accelarater pump will clear the top of the manifold. My question is do I puchase a spacer that is open or one that has 4 holes in it? Should I get one thats metal of phenolic? Thanks in advance guys

I would use one with four holes in it.

A 4-hole phenolic will run the best and help keep heat from boiling the fuel in the summer.

You need to use a 4 hole with that setup, a single hole will whistle and make the truck run poorly.
