yes, i am still here

well looks like im keeping the 52 packrat. Im planing of putting it back togather so I can drive it while my car is in the shop having its list of parts put on. I also realized i really like the front end on the truck and put it back on. i still need to section it and will end up running hoodless because the valve covers will be sticking above the fender.. here is a quick shot from last night.

You're lucky is was only $45. Here in Los Angeles, it'd be more like $500 and they might take the torch.

Glad you decided to keep her-I wish I had my first Effie back.

We've got a burn ban on the west side of Ft. Worth too. I've been waiting a couple of months to finish the structure on my barn so I can hang the sheet metal. Finally got tired of waiting last weekend and got out a sprinkler and another hose with a hand nozzle and went to work. I wouldn't worry that much except there is 100 acre grass field behind me that would go up pretty quick. Needless to say, I had the sprinkler going between the barn and the neighbor's field. One more good afternnoon of welding and I should be done.

We're still under water use restrictions in Raleigh even tho we've had a lot of rain we had such a heavy drought that the rez are still down a couple feet.
Hey Six7, you oughta put the hood back on with cutouts for the valve covers to stick thru that would be really cool!

its happens.. just sucks because thats the only thing that is really holding me up. i think im gonna little with rivets, and use a metal saw for what i need to cut so i can atleast get the roof closed up and the front sectioned and on... doesnt look like this ban is gonna let up any time soon.

Bummer with the fire ban. We had one afew years back as it was so dry around here with afew bad brush/grass fires. Last two years have been very wet so no more bans. Nice work on your truck by the way and I`m glad you are keeping it, keep us updated with lots of pictures.
