1979 Ford Trucks

I have a 79 F-150, or so I think. That is what the dealer told me it was when I bought it, but it did not have any of the emblems. I am wondering what the difference is between and F-100 and and F-150. Also, how am I able to tell if my truck is a custom or not so that I can get the correct emblems for it?

look at the drivers side rear inner door post the model will be f10 for f100 and f15 for f150
no chrome, vinly seat nothing or custom on the glove box door custom,ranger,xlt were basically trim packages

What are the big differences between the F-100 and the F-150?

If it has a plastic flooring, then it's a Custom. XLT and RANGER were trim levels above Custom. Do a forum search and you will find what each package came with.

150's generally came with little bit bigger tires, a little heavier suspension, a little heavier duty 9" axle. 150's carrying capasity was around 200-800lbs more, depending on how the 100 and 150 being compared, were equipt.
