Just picked up my new Lariat Screw. I was a little concerned about ride quality as I was coming of an 03 Expy. My wife and I test drove an FX4 and she hated it. I got the Lariat anyway and she swears its not the same truck. We love the ride. I am very impressed. Anyway I want a roll up tonneau and I see I can get either a Truxedo or an Access (reconditioned to new) for about the same price. Any suggestions?
Truxedo Lo-Profile or Access's version of the low profile called the Lorado. I have the Lorado and love it. Others have mentioned they have the Trux. Lo pro and also love theirs.
I put the truxedo lo profile on my 05 flareside. It fits great ,nice and tight and best of all I didn't have to drill any holes in my truck.Installation took about 25 minutes. The side rails are held onto the truck bed using clamps.I have no regrets in my purchase of it.
I have owned both a Truxedo and Access cover - both are nice however I prefer the access cover - I had problems with the velcro on the Truxedo (they took care of it as warranty but just a hassle) and I like the locking mechanism on the access cover better the what the truxedo had. All a matter of opinion, and this is just mine.
Do you have a bed extender? If so stay away from the Lorado. They won't tell you, until you contact customer support, but the Lorado will not work with a bed extender. I mentioned how my sales person never mentioned that and Agricover didn't seem to care. Agricover didn't even want to know who sold it so they can ensure the problem doesn't happen again.
As for the cover I like, as for the customer service, she maybe trying (Joyce) but I'm not happy. Their answer to the problem is you'll have to make a choice. Choice is they aren't the only ones that make bed covers.
Ok, I am done ranting and raving.
Cope
Also, if this sways your decision to get a different brand, let me know, I'd love to pass it on to Agricover.
