Exhaust
On a 4.6, especially one with 3.55 gears, or the 32 inch tires, you will probably get less out of the hole, better on the freeway, or in passing.
It’s very possible you will end up with less power and gas mileage with dual pipes on a 4.6 than with stock.
If you want to save gas/money, assuming a 4.6, try just putting on a Magnaflow or similar muffler, keep the stock pipe, which is pretty big. Keeps the cost down, gives you a good sound, and any actual power and mileage benefit will show.
Putting a cat back single pipe is probably the best power/gas mileage choice on the 5.4.
I put an 18 inch Magnaflow with cat back on my truck, and it was too noisy on slow climbs. I switched to a 24 inch with my cat back, couldn't be happier.
There are many different exhaust setups out there,
Search under muffler, or any brand name you want and there are lots of good posts, including pics and some sound clips.
