Hello to all. I am new to this web site. My family and I took a vacation down to San Antonio last weekend. Monday morning when I went to pack the car up to head home I found that my 2001 EB Expedition had been broken into.
At first I thought that maybe I had forgotten to lock it or accidentally unlocked it, because I did not see any damage. When the police arrived I got to looking and found that the key hole on the drivers side was messed up. It looks like someone took a screwdriver and a hammer, and just jammed it into the key hole and somehow opened the door.
Is it really that easy to break into my car? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this common and does Ford know about how easy it is? I find this very disturbing. Any comments would be appreciated.

I really doubt that thieves are getting there ideas about how to break in to vehicles from FTE
I've had this done to my F150, it sucks! The idiots that got my truck must have still been learning cause they tore off my entire door handle. http://www.jimmijammer.com/ has a metal plate that protects the lock and handle from being torn off, but if they really want your stuff they'll just break the window.
