46 ford truck gage question??

Hello again. On my 46 truck. I need to know if there is anyone who rebuilds the gauges in theses truck. I want ti use the originals BUT I need them to be 12 volt instead of 6 volt. Can anyone help me or give me a name and number of a company who does this. Any info is greatful and welcome.

If all you need is just a conversionto 12V you can just simply use whats called a Runtz. It bolts to the back of the water, oil, temp gauge and allows you to use 6V gauges when the car is converted to 12V. They run about $25 each, use one for each of the gauges, except the AMP guage, just reverse the way the wire to get a correct reading. If you really need to have the gauges restored and converted, contact http://www.speedometershop.com/ They can do all that, including refacing the gauges.

Someone mentioned just the other day that Ford used 6v guages up into the '70s sometime and that they all had the resistors or runtz bolted onto the backs of the clusters so all you need to do is snag some from a wrecking yard. Good luck!
