The best 6v battery is the Optima. If those are too rich for your budget, any farm supply house brand will also work. Take the opportunity during the battery switch to clean all the connections and grounds.

I haven't used it much yet. I got one and it fully drained and wouldn't charge. Called Optima and they had me work with Amazon. I chatted with them and got a new one 3 days later, no charge and they didn't want the old one back.
Grounds, be sure to have good grounds. My starter to frame ground had paint on the frame. Removing the paint made the starter spin twice as fast. These guys told me and told me, but seeing the difference good grounding made floored me.
