Are the parking lights the same from 1973 to 1979? Tom

 

73-77 should interchange. 78-79 are different.

 

I believe that 73-75 had white/clear lens and 76,77 had amber lens.

 

73-77 will interchange some was clear lense with yellow bulb some were orange with clear bulbs and the 78 79 will interchange with each other....

 

tom, do you mean just the front or all park lights??? the others are correct as far as the front grill lights are concerned. but im thinking all the side markers and rear lights are all the same. 78-79 front grilles are way different in that there is no center divider and the park lights are under the headlights and the ford letters are on the hood and not made into the grille. just my 2 cents, Eddie II

 

I was asking about the parking lights only. I have a pair in a 78 and I was told that they get pretty good money on ebay but I wasn't sure what years the 78 would fit but now I know. Thanks everybody. Tom

 

I thought that they also had different wiring like maybe the 77 and up model? Like grounded through the case or something? Anyone else heard that? I am in the process of switching my grille and lights on my 78 bronco to a 73-74 with clear lenses and the round sealed beam headlight conversions. I'll call it my fullsize '73 bronco.

 

My 76 had the sealed plastic lights in the grill. The Arizona heat did a number on them. I have upgraded to the early 73 with metal buckets.

 

Actually the change from the white/clear lens to the amber happened in '76. If you have any early '76, then you will have the white/clear lens, but if your '76 is closer to the '77 model year, then you will have the amber lens.

Example: My early '76 has the white/clear lens that came from the factory.

 

no they are not the same - only a few years will interchange but not exactly a perfect match do to grill design
early and late 78 & early 79 have long narrow park lights - amber

73 to 77 has 3 different park lens I have some 77 amber thats short and narrow - amber

early 78 have round headlights & late 78 have rect.
